The Management of Leaf Air, LLC, recognizes that an effective Safety Management System (SMS) is vital to the success and longevity of the company. Therefore, we are committed to maintaining a fully functional SMS and to continuous improvement of safety throughout Leaf Air LLC. Our safety objective is simply for no aircraft accidents to occur as a result of our operations.
The highest priority of our organization is ensuring the safety of our pilots and customers. Every effort has been made to ensure this is always first and foremost in our daily operation. Specific safety-related objectives have been established and will periodically be updated. Leaf Air management believes in a system that allows people to report safety issues without fear of unfair reprisals. We welcome and expect everyone who works or is connected to our operations to report any safety related events or issues and make suggestions for improvement and in this respect we will apply just culture principles to any event that is reported to me directly in a timely manner.
However, activities involving intentional disregard for FAA regulations and company policies and procedures, illegal activities and/or drug or alcohol use may be subject to disciplinary action including dismissal and reporting of activities to proper authorities.
Leaf Air, LLC’s Accountable Executive, is committed to providing the necessary financial, personnel and other resources to maintain a fully functional SMS.
Leaf Air, LLC’s Management, will convey this expectation to all pilots, employees and outside contractors through in-person conversation, and any other means to ensure all are aware of the company’s SMS, their duties and responsibilities, and our safety policy.
This Safety Policy and Code of Ethics Statement will be periodically reviewed by Management annually to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate to the company and our operations.
